So for the summer I have a paid internship. That internship requires 40 work weeks. I am so not used to it. Add to that the fact that I have never had a job where I sit all day and you get a really tired Sharon. I am slowly getting used to it. The key is staying busy. I don't have to be on my feet, but I do need to keep my brain occupied. This job is definitely keeping me occupied. I have learned a ton in the few weeks I have been there. So the whole thing is worth it.
The help I wrote for the internal site got published last week and that makes me an official technical writer. I am super proud of the whole thing. I just hope I can continue to earn my keep so to speak. Especially on the off chance that they should want to keep me come late August (fingers crossed). To that end: any of my government/contractor employed friends who want to keep me in a job, order all of your office/medical/industrial supplies from tekmentum.com. We are an SDVOSB and have GSA contracts. Come on you know you need some file folders.
The office could use a microwave as I loathe sandwiches, but I won't complain. This experience is just what I needed. It is keeping from blogging even more than before, but I am going to try to be better about this. I want to set a goal to post at least once a week. We shall see how that goes.
